Off in the action scenes. One day I hope I’m gonna watch this and see the 4D chess moves of how they intentionally made those look so s***ty, but that does feel like wishful thinking, I have to admit.

oh yeah losing Bill Pope hit hard. To me honestly and I don't know if it works but I think that everything after the Meta part was Neo in Matrix 4. As in he was in the video game version of what he thought the Matrix would be. That being why everything was slightly off. So the second half of the film but especially when the final plan is mentioned is in a video game world.

Yeah it has made sense to me from beginning and kept trying to talk about it and people just like "its dogshit its dogshit its not like the old movies" I get all that and I respect that opinion but when people are having a discussion about the parts of it that they liked why you going to yell over them

But yes Neo took the blue pill but had more agency and powers in the game world. In original trilogy it blended with his reality.

I didn’t hate it, but i could just tell that I was watching a turd. It was an enjoyable turd

yeah I never thought this s*** was perfect or fully landed its points as hard as I would like. Felt like the newer episodes of black mirror compared to the old. Nigga like me didn't necessarily care if it nailed the action but definitely wanted a black mirror slap. Some things worked others didn't.

But again in the case "hey they going to make it either way with or without you"

Then putting the meta narrative in the movie of the creator having a mental breakdown and being suicidal if they tried to make it without him

The characters of the game coming alive to help the creator just like Lana with grieving her parents

The fact again that whenever it seems he is about to die be it of suicide or agent smith bullet in the gaming office everything changes. Like Death is a door akin to cloud atlas that puts him in a very game like world

the final set piece is so over the top clearly meant to be like a video game in all ways so it does kind of raise the question of rather than make the Matrix 4 after Smith says "welcome back to where it all began the Matrix" is he in a video game of his own creation and have to escape that modal.

Should I give black mirror a chance?

if you have never seen it at all yes . The first few episodes fire fun scifi

first episode isn't the tone of the series its nearly skippable. its like an anthology they all one offs
