Considering how awful comedy sequels are, anchorman 2 and bad Santa 2 are probably as good as it gets. Lots of funny s*** in part 2, the only part that really drags it down is that awful scene where he goes to Megan goods parents for dinner, they dropped his whole personality for some cringe "hahaha he's talking black to them !!!!" Terribly lazy and Unclever complete with a table gag ripped str8 out of nutty professor....but yeah besides that it's as funny as a comedy sequel can get

This film killed the franchise (probably as intended by Lana) all they can do is give it a hard reboot at this point but it’ll never be as good as the original anyways

Yea I predict a reboot in a decade or two. Matrix lore will always be marketable. Perhaps in the near to distant future video games will dominate films and they can just continue the franchise through the video game franchise.

It would be super easy to bring this franchise back. Start with creating animatrix 2 is a limited series, then get a talented studio like remedy to create a matrix game, then find a talented, passionate director with a vision to create a ground up remake. Honestly the movie part is easier said than done, but animatrix 2 and a video game are an easy slam dunk
