Obviously, you re not supposed to take that statement literally lmao

Lana burned that budget like crazy on badly/incompetently shot action sequences with bad choreography and terrible camera angles aka wiping ass with the studios money

A lot of why it’s bloated is because they had to stop filming because of Covid then rebook and reset up things . Also final sequence in San Fran driving is more expensive than visual. People jumping and natural lighting leads to many shots

I can tell you it was much closer to that than 200 million lmfao

Again to stop filming during covid take multiple month breaks then return to filming with all the schedules and all the booking . Everyone who was originally going to work on the film that now couldn't . Light rewrites due to no hugo and some other things

There is no way you believe the budget and quality of the movie is 200 million .

Thats why there is a budget joke in the movie

Stop it bro every single reputable outlet has the budget upwards of 190 million, you really think they were reporting false budgets to make ppl laugh at it flopping at boxoffice even more? NOPE

Matter of fact village road show was in such shambles at the amount of money they lost they sued WB for allowing resurrections to be on HBO while in theaters

COVID protocol is like 5% of the budget. A rewrite would be a fraction of a percent.

COVID productions all feel a little skeletal. Some handled it better than others.

  • The adventures of pluto Nash cost over 100 mill to make snd looks like a sitcom. Ppl burn thru studio dollars thru bad or lazy filmmaking all the time

  • best matrix movie

  • The only thing i remember about this f***ing movie is trinity's husband being named CHAD

This series needed to stay in the 00s with how campy it is, i say this as someone who fanboys over the cyberpunk genre and as a giant matrix fan

I think some more animatrix type adaptions would be great though
