Dune doesn't look like too far off from a Gears of War game or windows xp screensaver to me. too many people are easily impressed by natural lighting, scale and having weird sci-fi s*** be so grounded in reality that it looks dull.

Though when most people praise his cinematography, they’re usually talking about screensaver/small guy in empty space shots because that’s what they associate with good cinematography

Wish he made part 2. Don’t think it needed a sequel though.

I skipped that one. Is it even worth watching? I don’t consider it canon since he didn’t make it

It was alright. Definitely not as good as the first. Some scenes were pretty great though imo.

I go back and forth on this theory, there's some hints and stuff of it being legit but at same time it seems kinda like cope for how amateur the action is despite the 200 mill budget.

Could very well be that Lana heart wasn't in it all the way but as far as intentionally sucking I think that's a bridge too far

Man the budget wasn’t 200 million . Budget went up because of Covid delays and other issues making it longer shoot but not 200 million

Lana burned that budget like crazy on badly/incompetently shot action sequences with bad choreography and terrible camera angles aka wiping ass with the studios money
