You know holding the constant fear of nuclear warfare over our heads is exactly how they get away with spending exorbitant amounts of money on the military, right?

redistribution of tax spending is deeply needed as well as a 90% marginal tax rate on anything over 20mil imo. throw a wealth tax in there too. actually INCREASE funding to the IRS for once instead of consistently DEFUNDING it year after year so that they have the resources to enforce the tax laws on the ultra wealthy.

IRS has straight up admitted they don't try and make sure ultra wealthy people pay what they should because it's too hard and they don't have the money so instead they go after smaller fish to try and make up the difference. disgusting

You ever hear about how Scientology skirted the IRS?

The IRS was trying to put pressure on them and Scientology started suing the individual IRS workers until no one would touch the case anymore

I think more the capitalism we have here is the result of the perverted idea of manifest destiny and the american dream taking it's own form here vs the rest of the world

the capitalism we have here is the result of democrats being able to race/gender/sexuality bait us into financially supporting them and expressing outrage at small issues that mask the truly glaring problems of our society.

Eh again different viewpoints now since I see both republicans and democrats causing similar problems in capitalism with just different methods.

Lmfaoo as if capitalism isn’t the epitome of lack of innovation. Capitalism is taking a good idea and mass producing it for extremely cheap by minimizing the quality and overpricing the f*** out of it. No innovation there. Look at every genre of music before it became mainstream. Tell me that there’s innovation as soon as executives get involved.

This argument that innovation is a byproduct of capitalism is a f***ing s*** narrative. I bet more people would be innovative if they had the time to be rather than working 40 hours a week to barely make rent

I'm not suggesting no capitalism = no innovation. I'm simply suggesting it fuels it.

I also think your 'look at any genre of music before it became mainstream' argument is s***. For example to suggest that the f***ing Sugar Hill Gang and other MC's or groups that existed before Hip Hop became mainstream are better than Kanye or Drake (mainstream Hip Hop artists) is just flat out wrong.

The better argument would be to say individual artists are better before they make money and sell out but even then I can counter argue and say they were driven to create by the idea of being a superstar and the lifestyle and things that accompany it. In this situation you kinda would have to take it on a case by case basis.

In the phillipines, they literally have legal death squads that walk around shooting people for the smallest crimes

In South Korea, they literally use software to track people and if they violate anything, the cops will reprimand them

In China, the police literally have eye tracking software to detect anyone that is potentially violating some legality there

The police here do a pretty awful job, but the amount of homocides in this country far outweigh the homocides from police.

The US military pretends to "protect" us from "foreign threats" that they provoked while our government doesn't protect us from real threats like lack of housing, food, water, etc.

Land Ownership period is a fundamentally unnatural way of living. Our ancestors viewed the land, the sea, and the sky as open to all of creation. Even in fairly modernized civilizations this was the pervading thought but of course, Capitalism

because the government is trash and should have very little power. Look at that.. they can't even handle water for all and let corporations pollute it.

This is why we need to remove money from politics and stop advocating for bigger gov.

The best water is what you can buy from private corps. Not from tap water lmao

Doesn’t matter whether you’re on a phone or a computer. The companies get financing the same way.
