    Yes

Are they not also susceptible to being an 'elite'?

I mean the securitization of housing debt came before the corruption, without regulation to keep up in the 80s - 2000s bad incentives were created within the system that led to our issues.

Yea it's a policy thing but the system did birth it.

Its been a known, publicized issue for a while. Thats where im saying theres corruption.

Politicians are aware, and just dont give a s***.

Nothing wrong with the money mart business idea. Its just desperately needed regulation for like 20 years now.

People suggesting the abolishing of landlords are really dismissing questions about how housing is delegated and what happens if there is inevitable conflict/violence as a result are making my day lmao 🤣

How are people talking down to posters who are raising these legitimate concerns when they’re the ones proposing this radical change

  • Jul 3, 2020

It’s just playing into the system.

the fact you think those are legitimate concerns and not some weird fear mongering nonsense that don't really align with anything in reality is weird but hey youve always been a bit of an idiot

Sometime radical change is taken in steps. America wasn't built in one swoop of perfect policy changes. I'm tired of p**** footing dudes (not you but more annoying ones in general) where their concerns are not of wanting to make a change but of just keeping the status quo and being comfortable with the s*** we have now.

What do you think happen to wuss ass Americans back then said "hey let's see what we can do with the British still" in the middle of the war when people wanted independence

people who are alive and functioning in society care

families looking to relocate, young adults ready to move out, students looking for near campus housing

it's a brand new building with 150 available units. who moves in? is it gonna be like black friday and everyone rushes the building and each apartment belongs to the person who claims it first?

I mean. Isn't it like that already? Just dependent on class?

Landlords provide affordable access to housing for those who cannot afford to buy a house. These people would be homeless if not for landlords. Landlords are very kind.

Most landlords can’t afford to buy a house either, they are just able to pay the mortgage through their renters

Wonder how many people actually read the thread op linked. If you did and still support landlords, you value exploitation over life

To be fair you’ve been posting balanced responses, more so than others and agree with your point overall about change being a gradual process but at the same time I do believe posters have been mindful pointing out big flaws with the overall argument and they are being replied to in a condescending and flippant manner. I think that’s arrogant and to demean their position by projecting certain qualities to these posters deflects from the overall quality of discussion. It’s tiring.
