really liked this. such a nice and comforting pace. unreal visually and a decent story with a really interesting relationship. feels lost in translation-esque at times. gonna be a a+ comfort movie for me

Memories of murder 8/10. Movie was really good. Some parts reminded me of monster anime. The few Korean films I've seen know how to keep you entertained

There was a movie that I watched last night titled "Christine"

This movie is not an easy film to digest. Christine is a necessary film for anybody who wants to understand mental illness. While it isn't an easy pill to swallow, it is scary accurate in the portrayal of what someone with Depression goes through. This probably is going to sit with me for a very long time.

If you didn't know about the historical/true element of this movie like I did, I highly recommend you not researching anything about it and just jump into it without any knowledge.

"Christine" is currently on Hulu so give it a chance if you haven't seen it.

    Melancholia 9/10

One of the most confronting films i've ever seen. The best depiction of depression in film afaik

Not one that i'll watch often due to it being difficult for me personally to look into that reflecting mirror the film holds up to me

Independence Day really holds up still. The whole big ass alien ship and all that, the creepiness thoughts of "what if". Still better than most Alien invasion movies.

    Killing of a Sacred Deer - 2/5

I think i just don't like this director. I turned off The Lobster 30min in.. The Favorite was okay. He comes off as weird for the sake of it.

The amount of known actors in Independence Day is actually blowing my mind atm.

The chick who plays Roxy in Scott Pilgrim is the President's daughter.

The dude from Donnie Darko in the Bunny costume is the crazy dude's kid.

The friend from all the Taken movies is a Med Assistant

Deputy Winston from Cabin Fever is the little kid brother

The main agent dude from Chuck is Secret Service

So many small roles in this movie from people who have been in a lot of popular stuff later on.

The voice over at the end killed me . Good movie overall with some really good scenes. Some parts were questionable though. Could pass as an anime too. 8/10

On a movie binge of things i've never seen before I'll keep updating the thread with ratings. Here's my most recent 5:

    7.5/10

8/10 (The twist became kind of predictable near the end but still enjoyed it)

10/10 (I love this s***. Twist at every corner)

    10/10 (I Love s*** like this)

    9/10
