Sorry movie was boring as s*** to me maybe I’ll rewatch soon
9/10
What a film. Man im really grateful for this site and the amount of dope stuff id never would’ve stumbled onto
Past 12 months has been great for my cinena growth. Im only 20 so by just that there’s a lot of stuff i dnt know even being a cinephile since age 15. But now visiting a movie like this that’s 30 years old you realize we always dumb down the past. Like past generations were as creative and humanist and complex as us.
As Im watching this movie with its crazy ass cinematography i realize where the director’s of today get their references from. Nothing comes from a vacuum.
Rewatched Interstellar and Inception, both on film, at IMAX. Definitely made it way crazier and highly recommend. Hope they reshow the dark knight there.
Watching BR2049 at imax on sunday

Oh dam i didnt know they were planning to release it
Losey's catalogue is a strange on when it comes to physical releases tbh. Ive slowly been collecting his films on blu, and its funny because a ton of his stuff has nice blu releases — even a lot of his films that barely anyone has seen.
Like 99% of the time when a director has a couple dozen or so films in their library that are virtually nonexistent in public talk (even among cinephiles), it's highly unlikely they'll have even a couple of them (if any) on dvd, much less blu-ray.
But Losey has a ton of films on blu-ray, even a few that have like less than 250 logs on LB
Wish more of my fave filmmakers got this kind of treatment
Just watched the first Avengers film. 9/10. First time watching. Having a Marvel binge atm watching all in timeline order.

Just checked it, and I find it very surprising. Losey underappreciated director?

the servant a damn masterpiece with king dirk bogarde
need to see king and country by losey which also stars bogarde
i also think he's underappreciated along with basil dearden as far as english film directors go (losey was an american but he worked in england mostly i guess)
