this blew me away when i saw it. masterful use of edit to establish time and space. all those memories flashing by, repeated and non-chronological. perhaps even to some extent made up/dreams instead of reality

9/10
the first half of the movie is so deceiving compared to the second half(not that this is a bad thing). The ending sequence though...Jesus Christ. One of the best monologues on film I’ve ever seen.

yeah the cinematography is some of the best I've seen tbh

Trying to get back into a decent film watching routine while I have this next month or so off

after the last castlevania season was over i felt like yeah i should rewatch these vampire hunter d animes. first one is like 2,5/5 or some s***, even for 80s anime animation is pretty outdated, character design isn't that great, plot is all over the place and dub is well..not worst anime dub i've heard. some good scenes here and there and fun to watch and i understand why this is classic, but its not that great imo
what happened when kim jong-il kidnapped south-korean movie director and his wife and cheated tohos godzilla special effect crew to do some kaiju s***? well north-korean kaiju epic, which actually isn't that bad, really fun to watch goofy kaiju flick that doesn't get boring at all
last part of this gamera trilogy from the 90s is maybe my favorite of the series, really great kaiju movie. gamera looks badass. all the destruction looks amazing and way better than in most of godzilla movies i've seen. human side of the story is cool, lots of mystic supernatural stuff, which is one of the reasons this trilogy is dope.
deadly adoption, 8.8
bridgette was a thicker version of what i remember nelly furtado looking like ten years ago, it was great

what a coincidence watched it yesterday too
i feel like the first half was so slow paced and then suddenly thinks take off and you're immersed
loved that monologue too
This movie was amazing. I'm still high off it so I'm giving it a 9/10. Overwhelmingly good. Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman deserved Oscars for this. Liked that twitching of the eye thing Jake did though out .
"Can't remember much really but I remember thinking it was overrated after watching the movie"
This was my review of it when someone made a thread about it. Some movies I need to rewatch because I was young to be able to digest it properly

this is a masterpiece imo. it just works at a whole and at the end that scene of jake gyllenhaal driving. boy oh boy that was a tense moment

casino 4/5

well i've seen it many times and watched it yesterday and yeah, its way better

8.5/10
don’t watch the trailer for this and go in blind if possible
favourite movie of the year so far

6/10
Definetely not as fun as Jon Wick, Bob Odernick is cool but they have one sequence where no way his character was able to do it in a way that movie suggests, it is just laziness

5/10
Funny how this poster suggests more entertainment then movie actually has, just watch first 15 minutes on Youtube, anyway they are probably the best minutes, the rest is just exposition with boring characters, and not fun shootouts.
