"Kendrick Lamar is releasing his own NFT collection just ahead of his highly anticipated album 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers'

Kendrick Lamar is the next artist to get into the NFT world. For his album release and ahead of the 10th anniversary of his 2012 album 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D City', he's teaming up with developer SLURP-X Studios. The Buff Apes NFT collection will be used to raise money to fight foot fetishes which affects about 1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women each year.

In a press release, Kendrick Lamar revelaed how the collaboration came to light. "When the team at SLURP-X showed me what they were doing, it was a no-brainer for me. And as an artist entering this new medium of NFTs, the idea of designing my own branded buff apes was exciting. Add to it the benefit of raising funds for a great cause like fighting foot fetishes, and wow! I hope everyone enjoys grabbing onto some nice NFT primates while helping others at the same time."
