EXACTLY
THIS IS NO DIFFERENT THAN PEOPLE GIVING S*** FOR WHAT ZAY DID
Like bro I literally did not it would never ask for you or anyone else to tell me this
When Kendrick misgendered his beloved relative to illustrate his flawed but growing understanding of a complex issue that is not given appropriate representation in hip hop, I had to shut off the album and delete his discography.
Is it just me or doe these conscious, lyrical rappers Jay E, Lupe Fiasco, and Kendrick really seem to be heavily into white chicks lol
How else they gonna show Martin they overcummed
Kendrick really got rapist Kodak and anti vaxxer Summer Walker
wild
We anti-cancel culture now
Kendrick confessed to smashing a white chick like he was a heroine addict
ayee yooo
Absolutely black
^ confirmed Worldwide Small Stepper
This nigga made Blacker the Berry and now he just said "I love white women!!"
I really donāt get how this is what yāall getting from wht was said here
He's still gone about it the wrong way
Naming it Auntie's diaries and referring to his uncle as auntie throughout.
With the deadnaming.
And the flip-flopping of pronouns.
I understand that's how it was.
But as I said
It's something only cis people would appreciate and would maybe finally understand more about trans issues.
But to us?
It's harmful.
It's exactly the same stuff that my younger sibling tells me what my parents have been saying behind my back living on my own.
It hits personal for us. But we can't appreciate it because it may be growth for him. But it's just yet again trauma for us
Iām sorry if it brings up trauma but it triggering you doesnāt make it a bad song or distasteful. Itās a song about his journey to understanding and acceptance of his uncle despite the stigma. Itās in no way to frame him as a good guy but itās his perspective and itās a perspective a lot of people will relate too in that the concept was so new to us that it took a while to really understand. The f word was thrown around so casually nobody knew how much it would actually hurt people.
The song wonāt change the world or nothing but itās a good example of someone coming from a spot thatās not accepting of trans stuff and how he personally came to understand it. It wonāt get us to where you want us to be but it could help bridge that gap moreso than pandering or doing everything the politically correct way. Heās sharing a very real and pretty relatable perspective for most people and itās genuinely possible it helps a few people come to understand trans s*** more than before.
only if they look like this apparently

I deadass googled "copenhagen girls" and this was the first image.
mmmmm i want a piece of that
Am I the only one who feels like this is Kendrickās most immature album?
I understand that he isnāt anyoneās savior but there are moments where he is more defensive than usual
Strongly disagree. Itās his most vulnerable and mature. Itās him giving us wayyy more of himself then he has too.
Wtf is this album im so confused idk if i should start hating on it or praise it.
Its not as bad as dawn fm (for my ears) so its def not bad.
Idk maybe after a few more listens tomorrow ill know.
Absolutely terrible post
Yeah if I can say anything neutral about what this album implies so farā¦it really sheds a light on just how much hip hop culture over the past 4-5 years has negatively affected the artistās cognitive approach to creating.
We often think that all it takes is an artist really getting into their zone to reactivate that feeling, but its clear how much a lack of collective synergy has taken a toll on the universal creative process. It was not long ago that many of our current favorites signified a vibrant realm of possibilities - now we all share a droning sense of apathy that feels more and more impenetrable with every big passing release, and boy does this one feel like a blow.
Theres no āgameā, subcultures, or collective set of values anymore; everyone is trying to be dissociative all at once, and thereās no resolve to that in sight.
I can appreciate Kendrick looking inward and being so viscerally honest in that regard, but I still feel desperate for someone of his stature (its only him) to serve as a more congregating force as a captivating performer and superstar. Call me selfish or inconsiderate, but what you said about him knowing he needs to get the f*** out speaks louder than any lyric or message on this album to me personally.
I hear you. Iād take it a step further and argue that itās beyond just hip-hop. Cultureās dying in general. Weāre all feeling it. Creatives like Kendrick are feeling it tenfold because weāve desperately looked to him for a balm. One major theme among many on this album feels like him admitting that there is none and explaining why he feels the need to remove himself from the picture.
It his me particularly hard because Iāve felt that desire to just yell f*** this and leave it all behind often these past few years. Not in a suicidal way; in a way similar to what I feel like Kendrick is saying, where heād rather just be with his loved ones than play the game weāre all stuck playing. And he recognizes that itās a privilege to do so and essentially abandon the role that we hoped heād play, to your point, but heās choosing him.
And I think part of the point is feeling angry with him for choosing to go about things this way rather than unification. Hell, thereās a lot on this album Iām very disappointed to hear from him. But at the same time, I understand it. And thatās the meta message, that his perspective might differ from ours.
so kendrick love white women or what idgi
Why r people saying this
Christianity is against these abominations. One can love the person and hate the sin. We are all sinful, but our sins should not be glorified.
Kendrickās ideas are all pushed from one political ideal. It is why it is a big issue. It is why he has to address it in his album if he wants to garner any critical acclaim.
But this is big boy talk. The only artist in hip hop culture willing to get cancelled for the Truth is Kanye.
First off
Get off Kanye d***
Second off let people live the life they want to live
Who are you to judge anyone your not Christ
Lmao true
This s*** not even limited to music either
I hate KD but what he said about legacy talk ruining basketball is not wrong
Its ruins everything tbh
Old gens not accepting new gens
New gens disregarding old gens
Heights that get inflated/exaggerated
Fiction seeping into history
