UnoDeuceKendrick outwardly expressed his personal growths, downfalls, weaknesses, and the reasons why heâs struggling with those things. was insanely vulnerable, and now people are mad he wasnât completely politically correct which is exactly what he was aiming for. he didnât âperformâ enough for some of yâall and you see that as a negative as opposed to him being open about his thoughts and struggles, especially as it relates to the trans community. and thatâs exactly the point of this album.
you want to simultaneously see him as an idol with a huge platform to do good but only if he speaks like you want him to speak. you donât care if heâs battling his personal demons, you want him to focus on YOU, and not himself, and thatâs exactly why this album was made.
hope some of yâall realize that instead of being blindly upset that he didnât say things how YOU wanted him to say them.
Everybody who criticize Kendrick for being critic bait really donât have a case for this album

youâre not wrong. his prior albums have a very sermon-esque feel to them, damn and tpab specifically. this was his first real look in the mirror aside from a few moments on the other two albums. he got VERY deep into his own mental, which I think is a very important thing to recognize for folks who see him as an idol. love the message a man speaks? then youâll love it and understand it even more when you know the man behind them, even if itâs not all glitter and gold.
