JonboiWow, is this album causing a sea change where we’re all expressing ourselves in a more honest way? 😂 It’s very unexpected to see you even reflect on that moment. Honestly, I feel embarrassed because I wrote something that I don’t feel like I communicated well. I tried to make a big umbrella statement to get a bar off. But big umbrella statements lack nuance sometimes. I just wanted to express my frustration with the idea of… I sample Etta James… And I flip it into something totally different. Something I love with all my heart. And it doesn’t feel to me like I stole it. It feels like I’m stacking meaning on top of meaning. Like making a collage. And then someone comes and tells me I can’t share this beautiful piece of art with people. That idea makes me sad. So I’m just going to release the sampled songs anyway. If there was a price I’d do everything I could to pay the price. Cause I really just want to put the art first at the end of the day. I’m ignorant in a lot of ways on a lot of things. You’re good, man.

But yeah, i totally get & understand that. I felt like an a****** later on too cuz i like to think n act resonably/logically n usually 9/10 times i wont be hostile unless the other starts being so first.
Felt like i could have came more cool headed & explain better from a diff perspective while also not just brushing the other/yours off, which i usually try not to do as well online n irl.
But yeah, it was def a moment of having a chip on my shoulder n having tunnel vision haha. I genuinely try not to be an a****** for literal no reason 😂
Thank u n someways i do agree, like how i touched on it a tiny bit in my original posts (such as i think copyright n ownership goes overboard when it comes to youtube, fan edits & dj mashups) but i could have done it better n with less hostility/mocking. Also pure hostility is not how u get someone to see/understand ur point/stance.
