Will SimpI want this man to show more personality and joke in interviews more like he used to. It seems like he felt like he couldn't anymore since after GKMC because of all the attention on him and this mantle of being "hip-hop's savior"
Yeah me too, and this album is a big step in that direction. Tpab is one of my fav records ever but that s*** probably done more harm to him than good, and its even worse to think that the hip hop saviour label was given to him, an expectation of sorts that he felt he had to match. Glad he realized s***s not good for his mental. Hell, this album is kendrick straight up saying "im not the man you think i am, im flawed too dont mistake me for the jesus of rap"

OlafFolks. This "not being the savior" is such an exhausting thing in the music industry right now. Even Lorde does this. I understand the pressure, but this self-deprecating thing is, in my mind, just self-mythologizing.
It's a lot better than playing into the savior image that some fans have of him lol
