Will SimpI was trolling with that post, but Tyler the Creator differentiates between "favorite" and "best" when ranking music. I also do this, so I believe music has some sort of objectivity in it but Idk what that's based on. Like someone can say "I prefer First Class over Gimme the loot" and that's okay, that's their opinion. But saying "First Class is better than Gimme the loot" just seems like an inaccurate statement. Idk, it's a weird topic to me
I see what you mean, they do that same thing for a lot of stuff e.g. top fives, bball etc.
to me the 'best' is just how I think of popular consensus/what makes the most sense coming from as many perspectives as possible vs my own views, which is 'favorite'. if I put it like 'who's the greatest: hov or ghostface' I see more people saying hov is the one but if they say ghost I know they're closer to how I see things and how I like my rap music. I can agree with both too

pneumoniaReally good album, love the variety in production and vocals, impactful songs that come from a genuine place. Glad he chose to go a different route on here, it pays off. Good split of hard songs and introspective tracks. There's a bit of everything.

I only had one listen and was so shocked that I can't say much about it, but I for sure enjoyed it and definitely liked the route he took as well.
I loved how vulnerable and honest this sounds and I feel it will grow on me heavily in the next few days. Auntie's Diaries and Mother I Sober f***ed me up.
