    lol, right

GKMC is him telling his story but in a very structured way that repeats the tropes of adolescence in the hood (it is "a short film by Kendrick Lamar"), which isn't to take away from the personal nature of the narrative but just to say that the new album is something a lot rawer in the sense of not being as easy to slot into pre-existing molds like "oh, this is like Boyz n the Hood, this is like Menace II Society"

If I have one thing to say about this album at the moment,it’s that,it’s most likely better then GKMC on an artistic level.

But lets make a fake deep song using a slur for "artistic" purposes

F*** Kendrick and any straight person defending this bullshit

    New NIGHTMAN

to me the ye/drake line is praise to them and a diss to himself

i dont see why people are seeing it as a snub to either of them

nah it sounds like Kendrick saying ''I'm tougher and more real than them''

  • May 13, 2022

Kendrick should’ve named Worldwide Steppers Detroit Red instead

that Drake and Ye line really shows y'all why Control was taking out of context. ppl hear name drops and totally lose their mind and think there's a negative connotation attached to it.

man was just saying because of his insecurities and ego it's hard for him to let s*** go and forgive

He kinda saying that on worldwide steppers

Thought so. Hard to tell when he’s being biographical and when he’s making an artist statement sometimes

  • This album is a perfect balance too.

Just enough bops for your but also enough weirdness to keep you loving the experimentation.

but aren't they correct? what's the difference?

Kendrick gives a pretty coherent reasoning for his choises
Where as Kanye just goes on multiple rants that sound insane out of context. I mean the Love Everybody shtick Ye was pushing sounds pretty fake bc of surrounding events , with Kendrick it feels a bit more sincere
