Was thinking today, Kendrick finally hit the point where even if he drops a solid 9/10 album it still won’t live up to any expectations people have placed on it, because he’s been gone for so long with nothing but a couple feats on Keem’s album.. DAMN’s 5th anniversary is this year

It feels like since 2017 people consume music different, our favourite rappers from 5 years ago don’t drop quality thought out albums anymore. Artists drop an album and we forget about it in a month.. don’t even know if the landscape that streaming has come to can support longevity anymore and this man still hasn’t said anything besides “be patient brother”

I’m starting to have a bad feeling about the Super Bowl… I’ve seen a lot speculation about how he may use the half time show to ramp up to an album release with a new single or something. Thinking about it though, Kendrick will be one of five performers in a 15 minute show. Dr. Dre will probably carry— it won’t be about Kendrick.

Here’s hoping he does something cool, but I worry he just plays HUMBLE. and dips.

I think thats all assumptions and twitter talk tbh from it being the last album on the label. TDE is his family, and its not like he’s the only TDE artist to have gone ghost. Soul has literally vanished (been through alot of personal tragedy), its been 4 years since Rock dropped, then Q and SZA have only been heard in features/loosies

If Kendrick doesnt drop this year then i truly dont know anymore. I put it down to covid still affecting international touring etc, only thing i can think of now
