OlafHe's being defensive on this record which makes the corniness lame to me instead of the usual flavor of some of his songs. There's definitely spite too, but I wonder why. Feels like a fake shield to avoid dealing with the world and people.

this seemed like the journey of therapy sessions and coming to realization about what kendrick wants in life
im sorry but i choose me seems like this letting go of a conflict he'd had with himself that was based on a culmination of childhood trauma and desire for love and attention with celebrity trauma and desire for love and attention. now he wants to break the cycle and invest that self love he once lacked into his children

Damn is when he got rid of his savior complex and started to come to terms with not being able to change the world with his music and message
On this album he almost feels resentful towards the people that they didn't receive his message the way he wanted them to
Like for me his general demeanor on the album is take it or leave it
That is his demeanor u right, and i don't rly like it tbh lol, it's lowkey confrontational to his audience and it's like bruh what we do
