I feel like damn is that album for me that connected with me the most on a personal level
I mean DAMN is the pop record, right down to the name of the songs it's universal. I just feel like I can get DAMN from a lot of artists. That was kind of the point of it. To give people what they say they want. He says this one is for him. I think he's giving people what they actually need.

May 13, 2022Also feel like it's the least consistent Kendrick album so far. I feel like some of the motifs (tapdancing, Kodak) feel a bit forced and don't work too well in the grander scheme of things.
Doesn't take away the fact there are some huge highlights on this LP
