I took it very differently. Throughout the album one of the main themes was that hes not a savior and that he still has alot of growing and healing to do.

GKMC and TPAB are classics but the belief he had in how his message alone could impact the world was a bit naive, he just got let down really hard by reality and now it feels like he's kinda salty about it lol
