The people complaining about Auntie Diaries are folks who listen to Lil Nas X and Drake all day

    ā€œthe people s***ting on a poor attempt at LGBTQ+ allyship listen to a gay artistā€ is… well, it’s a take for sure

yh but people should also grow out of idolization and start thinking for themselves

no one is asking kendrick to think for anyone lmao

u read a book or watch a documentary and go, "thanks author for thinking for me"

usually u engage with the ideas presented (critique them) and/or learn something new

the fact kdot feels like he can't even do that is concerning to me, not for that fake messiah thing either, it's just dissapointing to watch a critically acclaimed rapper with such a platform fumble/crumble at a time like this

I wouldve been satisfied with eminem tier satire about what's going on tbh, just going "nah Im not your leader, y'all are annoying on social media tho, bye" is such a lazy cop-out

Thought he chose him over being a messiah complex, but I agree there’s other ways then being a messiah but like I said before niggas was writing articles about this man asking where he at.

It makes me wonder how folks looked at artists from the 70s when they were making this type of music. Were they looked at the same way or did niggas realize these folks were just adding their perspective lol

i feel like there was a lot more actual substance to what ppl would call the culture back then. like earth-shattering revelations weren't dependent on musicians releasing an album. there was more activity going on with everyone involved. now it just feels like people sit on twitter or ktt even waiting for some musician to drop the next big thing that'll change their life, change the social climate, whatever whatever

    it's a laziness

Mother I Sober is just f***ing incredible.

I'm alright with the album being kind of a mess when songs like this one, United in Grief and Father Time exist. The genius is still there, could just use a little trimming.

bad choice from kendrick honestly, drake and cole are much better introspective rappers than him, this s*** pales next to the best introspective songs by them

probably the dumbest s*** I’ve ever read on ktt

Outside of Mortal Man a good chunk of TPAB is Kendrick talking down on himself am I bugging for hearing this???????

I actually feel like he painted himself as a savior/messiah type figure more on Untitled 1, The Heart 4 and the Heart 3 ("Will you let hip hop die on GKMC release date")

But he's also been pointing out his flaws and saying he's not perfect throughout his career, so I get both sides fr

I mean Thug didn’t articulate that well at all, so yeah

  • May 13, 2022

kendrick spent his whole career speaking outward (for the most part). this is a full length project where he spends the entire time looking inward. he knows that he can fix himself much more efficiently than he can fix the world. and hearing that from a huge artist is incredible

You don’t get it yet. It’s alright. You will eventually.

    Hope so, I love Kendrick

DAMN in my top 25 rap albums of all time

GKMC & TPAB both in my top 10

I want to like this I just don’t right now. And seeing people say the s*** is ā€œa step up from Damnā€ so casually is extremely wild to me atm

Like Damn ain’t one of the most well produced, well executed, and substantive commercial rap albums ever released
