I think naturally they would due to the tension in recent years noname calling them out certainly put them on the spot n Twitter in general just being on they asses during the peak of the protests n riots n s***
At the end of the day they just sum normal ass human beings just tryin bring light to important issues in they communities but also not tryna lose themselves in the process things that just seem far out of their control
That’s why I feel this message is so crucial so ppl don’t delude themselves into thinking that these artists/rappers can magically lift them from their dire states

But I personally didn’t really feel like cancel culture was the reason behind him deciding to retreat
It was definitely an element but a lot of this album to me is about trauma and anxiety and mental health issues and feeling unable to meet the expectations on him especially with just art when the world has only gone downhill since TPAB
you can still feel like it’s a selfish decision and I respect that take but I think boiling it down to “I didn’t like social media posts so I’m dipping” is missing a lot of what he’s saying on here
