love it tbh, it reminds me a lot of Blonde/TLOP in how it feels like the production is all over the place but the common thread line of black trauma, and how separating yourself from the culture gives you a better perspective on who you really are is carried through out the album.
only have two gripes with the album. the two songs Die Hard and Rich Spirit
and idk how good the replay value for this album will be.
Real. I feel rich spirit is filler. I think Dis Hard is fine. My only gripe is Purple Hearts being placed as the closer. Itās a decent song but I wouldnāt use that to close a album. I feel the TLOP comparison very heavy on how this album is structured. This the first kdot project where after a few listens I still canāt form a clear opinion on it

It seems like we're getting self reflection/growth albums from rappers after the pandemic. I think Drake next album gonna be about fatherhood and maturing, It's a Boy by Cole probably the same thing, Gambino I see leaning back into the soul type sound of AML (basing this on Atlanta's music), I see Tyler making a pro-black album dealing with his father issues and exploring his Nigerian ancestry
Honestly can't wait to see how that generation of rappers spend the rest of this decade
Gambino kind of already came out with one of his best albums recently. It didn't spark buzz but it was very nice and it did address his sentimental feelings of fatherhood
Infact I think both this and that album directly have that in common
I don't see Tyler doing that at all but I can see him making another bold, strong leap in his sound that seperates him from previous works

Did Drake's next album happen yet?
thereās a difference between speculation which isnāt even that far fetched considering rappers already been speaking on how the pandemic has affected them (even if itās just a one off bar)
And fanfiction
