That’s because of the internet. It’s quicker and easier to type out acronyms for long album titles online, so obviously when talking about them out loud the acronyms get used.

But it only works for certain titles. Like for IYRTITL, in real life people still say the full title, because IYRTITL is awkward to say out loud.

But something like TPAB rolls off the tongue
