Scratchin MambaKendrick taking abt generational trauma very important
I know it may sound like sjw jibberjabber to some
But i can speak on how my own parents went thru horrible govt repression and how it traumatized them, it affected me too
If i raise a family, i now got my own shyt to deal with and might not be a perfect father or husband despite my best efforts, and it could be traced back to that trauma
A lot of jews who went thru the holocaust talk about the same thing, it's a real thing, i wish people took it more seriously
my wife has done a lot of research on this topic, and that generational trauma is a MAJOR issue, not just psychologically but physiologically as well. they've now proven that certain chronic diseases (autoimmune diseases, etc) are directly caused by the trauma that person's parents or even grandparents went through.
its crazy how much it passes on to generation to generation. a part of why it seems like everybody has anxiety these days

after one listen i think this album has a few songs i can rly do without (we cry together, rich spirit, crown)
it has some dope songs too obviously (N95 young jeezy woulda ripped this beat, father time, savior)
overall i think its pretty much on the same level as DAMN, a good album with a few misses and a few amazing moments and a lot of solid tracks in between
production is great throughout besides silent hill that s*** sound like a jack harlow type beat
