Tbh Kendrick can retire off this album, I don’t think he got much to say after this.
This album is going to age well, this man just does not give a f*** and people are attracted to honesty. He doesn't care if this sells 100k or 1 mil, he knows what this is, he has built his fanbase. This album is for himself, he needed to make this album, he could call it quits and I would be completely satisfied as a outside fan that watched an artist grow and evolve. Thanks Kendrick for this and everything you have done for us, yourself, and the culture.
No less. Black listeners here (UK) are usually 1/2nd generation Africans or Jamaicans. Afrobeats is the flavour everyone listens to.
Very few actually sit with his albums. They get hyped because you know it’s kendrick, but when you ask them what they know they just say Humble, money trees, swimming pools etc. But if you talk with white people, they can tell you their favourite songs stretching to Kendrick Lamar EP
Kendrick make music for white people
