    mr get dough

I feel like his next album will be him going back on his word of putting himself first and giving up on helping the world. I feel like the arc isnt over

    I hope so

I feel like this frustration he feeling is part of his story but not the conclusion

    v12

kendrick plead guilty to being a milk maniac

    We all been there

  • May 14, 2022

Yeah feels like mr morale is about issues he went through and then big steppers is him really delving into his trauma, but Bc the topics aren’t the same across both albums I think it’s harder to pinpoint how they’re different & how they relate, which is why some people have said it doesn’t feel like a double album

  • May 14, 2022

I also feel like mr morale sounds way more like a Kendrick album than big steppers

Also, mr morale being narrated by eckhart (?) and big steppers being narrated by Kodak has to say something about it

this is lowkey a depressing album when you compare it with tpab.

tpab ended on a very uplifting note, this one ends with kendrick bowing out like ‘idgaf anymore, you’re on you’re own’

"But I don't know, I'm no mortal man, maybe I'm just another nigga"

This album is pt 2 of him accepting that he's just another nigga, started with damn

He's distanced himself more from being concerned with the worlds problems here tho

I still think it's the most depressing. Damn came from a hopeless place. Kendrick had accepted that change wasn't gonna happen and that God should just come back and burn this b**** so we can start over. This album is him realizing that he can change himself internally for him and his family, but at the cost of tuning out the outside world

Yeah you're right it is still his most depressing work, there are no songs as dark as feel or lust on here

Might actually be my favorite discography of anyone not saying that off hype like i been thought this

This hit for me first listen besides Purple Hearts but it grew on me heavy like this album is so off from what people thought it would be n i love that this is no doubt the most vulnerable Kendrick album
