when Kanye got back with Drake, I was slightly confused...
this is a passive diss that is kendrick still giving control vibes
Listen to the lines that came after that lol.. it's not a diss at all
I think the âwould it be ok if Jack Harlow had a song where he says the n wordâ conversation is a completely logical comparison.

Nah, he wanted to see em duke it out after classes on some high school s***
He's able to pack so many different sounds on the intro alone, this album is bound to be a grower.
From S80 to MM&TBS
It's been real, what a journey
I was showing my GF section.80 yesterday. It hit me just how strong of a connection it made with me back then. Probably my most listened to tape that I'd throw on when I'd wake up for school

I know what he is saying, but what the name dropping does in that format will cause friction and competition and kendrick wrote it that way because he knew it would

No he saying he got competitive problems because of his daddy issues
He literally says he needs healing right after that line

Brooo the nostalgia on section 80 is craaazy. So many songs that still hit like they used to

he's playing mind games, yes he is admitting his own competativeness, but he is also slightly admitting that he is curious why Kanye and drake would make back up after that bs and that he is confused about it. Now imagine ye or drake hearing this knowing that kendrick is most likely a more talented rapper than the both them...

Their insecurities are not his concern

you reaching quite a bit fam
I mean Kendrick is telling us what heâs trying to say word for word
I think the âwould it be ok if Jack Harlow had a song where he says the n wordâ conversation is a completely logical comparison.
It really isn't imo
Comparing the severity of oppressions aside....
Social norms change over time, and people forget that gay marriage was still illegal until not too long ago, homophobic attitudes and the use of homophobic slurs, even in a way that's not directed at gay people was very widespread until relatively recently, especially when Kendrick was young he's like 30 lol, and the song is about growing out of that mindset, and yes saying that word was what he grew out of, so it makes sense
The situation is completely different when it comes to nigga as a slur, it wasn't like white people were using that slur not knowing it was wrong lol
I still get it if people from the LGBTQ community feel uncomfortable listening to it, but it's not an accurate comparison at all
I know what he is saying, but what the name dropping does in that format will cause friction and competition and kendrick wrote it that way because he knew it would
That's very cynical lol
Their insecurities are not his concern
right but this is a Kendrick Lamar album, he wouldn't put their names in it didnt want to. kendrick is still smoking mf's out, do not forget this
Relistening to the album and having to hear We Cry Together again

NAH F*** YOU B****
the whole album is cynical
I would say it's the opposite
right but this is a Kendrick Lamar album, he wouldn't put their names in it didnt want to. kendrick is still smoking mf's out, do not forget this
Nah there's no smoke here. Idk what else to tell you
Kanker
Typische hollanders weer schelden met ziektes
Wat een tyfus tering kk downies
right but this is a Kendrick Lamar album, he wouldn't put their names in it didnt want to. kendrick is still smoking mf's out, do not forget this
The only moment on this album I think he truly trying to smoke someone is the last verse on Savior
sounds like he talking about a figure like Ye or Hov then but thatâs me just speculating as well
