shaleiroseI think he lost a lot of subtlety that existed in his songwriting on those three albums. I understand that mightāve been intentional with the therapy angle, but sometimes on this album it feels like the points being made are being beat over the head
Not everything needs to be subtle.
Sometimes crude and jagged language is needed for effect

In fact, two of my closest friends have been teasing me for years because they know Iām a huge Kanye fan and theyāre not big fans of him at all, but even they said they loved Donda and it was one of their favorite albums from him in years
I aināt say it wasnāt good/enjoyable even lovable for some people (I didnāt āloveā it, but I did enjoy it)

Donda is several steps below that
