EverythingIt's funny cuz this is part of what Kendrick was talking about on the album. We don't have to tip toe around this stuff. Kendrick isn't excusing what R. Kelly did, he's telling it like it is. Life did fail him. The adults in his life and the mentors in his life absolutely f***ed him up.
Everybody watched the Boondocks episode of R Kelly and his celebrity worship but missed the line where Huey said get him some help lol
And this is coming from somebody that donāt f*** with Kellz at all

lmao I feel like most music from big artists was finished at least a few months before it came out. it takes ages to get everything in place for a release like this
Even the most obvious exception of the big artists (Kanye) has songs like Hurricane or No More Parties that were around for years on new releases

First listen: Didnāt like tracks 1-2 that much, but really loved 3-4 and started thinking i liked it
Went through the whole album, still critical but enjoyed most of it
Immediately restarted the album
Listened to it 5 times in a row at work
Drove home and went to the gym and listened to it there
Went for a run and realized i was still listening and vibing to it, and started thinking about the subject matter
Realized itās a classic and i have to hold my L

Surprised people mad over Auntie Diaries.
To me what he's doing is like when a film or TV show shows an act of racism/homophobia. Also see a lot of people saying "but if a white person made a song where.. etc." but Bob Dylan pretty much did that with Hurricane and it's seen as one of the great civil rights songs
