Its probably a mix of everything, but he has always had songs talking from multiple perspectives

I mean is this j cole song also only em too? of him n his women going back n forth over abortion?

The em comparisons are probably just because of how aggressive it is, but it is not a new concept nor was he the first. its wild.

Iirc tho, Kendricks main top 10 usually revolves around (not in order) 2pac, jay z, nas, lil wayne, eminem, kurupt, e40, andre 3000, biggie & snoop

hms to kanye, dmx & 50 cent

Kim is worse because it's a sided masturbation session where Eminem gets to fantasize about being a violent misogynist without putting the spotlight on himself or saying anything of value. The Kim in that song might as well be a blowup doll he throws off a cliff.

We Cry Together at least opens the artist up to scrutiny on some level.

not trolling. i think its a very f***ed up song since its about a real person so that is my main hesitation toward f***ing with it. when i was young i always skipped it because it was too f***ed up for me. when i got older i came to appreciate it for em's writing and delivery.

anyway i dont think its a big influence on WCT, and I think WCT is better than Kim. but I am just chiming in to say that Kim is a fairly good song and not trash

I don’t hate Kim but it’s the reason why I was so angry at the comparisons. Like Kim is so unhinged compared to We Cry Together which is more of an argument.
