If Kodak didn't do so much dumb and wild s*** he would be universally seen as a top 3 southern artist for this newer generation
I think off season kinda was forgotten because that’s all it was like just album where Cole is just rapping when he went on a run of doing that on feats Cole is perceived as the “content” artist so the critique is going to be just as harsh as Kendrick especially when he’s compared to him often the off season came at a point in his career where it was slightly too late especially when it’s supposed to be a lesser counterpart to the fall off. One the FHD being a classic point it all depends what circle your in most people would give it classic status on impact and it being better than his previous albums but I don’t think anyone would put on the level of the staples of 2010s hip hop albums especially when there’s albums that executed what he tried to do in more interesting ways. I’m not counting him out though I’m really rooting for the fall off to be the album where he gets his late career crown jewel
Yea definitely disagree man. my circle spands across alot of different types of music listeners and I know 95% of them would agree with it being a classic. that 5% being the ones who hate cole or have never listened to him.
lets just agree to disagree tho🙏🏽
MGK still got AOTY

Mr. Morale just hits different bro
idk how to describe it
i'm a Latino man, so i guess i can relate to this album more
but some of the subjects he hits, it feels like he's writing my life story
ESPECIALLY the toxic s*** on We Cry Together
It’s a very, very special album. A modern day masterpiece. Kendrick reached the ridiculously high expectations and left me in awe.
