hotel transylvania slander...
interesting, as far as what
I think opening the door for being more ambitious with narrative driven shows on children network bridging the generation age gap on what audience animation is supposed to be for. Avatar also was one of the first shows to wear its Japanese influence on its sleeve when anime was considered the more superior form of animation and still caused debates if someone not from Japan can create anime. It had interwoven philosophical and religious themes throughout its plot in a subtle manner to broad audience keeping them interested in cultures that weren’t their own as resulting in more representation in cartoons today
How long this thread been derailed for? Guess the music has no replay value huh?
We already got JonBoi we don’t need you
Auntie Diaries isn't necessarily a pro trans / gay anthem tbh. He definitely respects how his family members are moving, but doesnt understand it all the way to say im pro this and that flat out. just his personal experiences missteps and all.
i cant speak on him using slurs, but the misgendering is just part of the narrative and i dont think i can fault him for that 🤷 I don't know if i just have the mental privilege of not being so affected by stuff like this, and i'm not saying that its okay to do what he did on a song in real life, but the context does give it a reason.
He changed alot as a human but his gift of music never changed. If anything, it got stronger.
AGREED
You don’t like hotel Transylvania
I rewatched the first one again that s*** was kinda a nothing movie. I still gotta rewatch the newer ones

Live Action:

CN should've never went the live action route period
I also will say that adventure time only came out 5 years after avatar which is f***ed up to say and that s*** kinda have me feeling like dust and i’m only 22
I’m 20 and it’s insane that the year flew past that quick yet that show was able to accomplish so much

Interesting, I can respect this narrative but I also feel like everything you said can apply to Samurai Jack as well.
Plus I feel like shows like Batman: TAS were narrative driven as well

We don't talk about CN Real
We just skip over to Adventure Time and Regular Show
I’m 20 and it’s insane that the year flew past that quick yet that show was able to accomplish so much
s*** got me feeling like sand its crazy to watch a show when you’re 10 and then you watch the true last episode of it when you’re 22
