It is a stage play. The tap dancing and piano make it to where if you close your eyes you can see Kendrick on stage with just a light on him and a piano in the corner.
I do f*** with Kendrick but this album is kinda depressed as f***.
I almost didn't feel anything good listening to this but it's definitely a good project.
It's just like theres a dark aura surrounding the project.
Obviously, just talking about how he fits in theme wise.
kendrick literally namedrops him in a bar about how people perceive him

People not really listening to understand, just listening to respond.
See I was thinking that too, but thats where it becomes touchy, because then that message than actively hurts the victims and justifies the rapists and abusers actions. Its a weird situation tbh I'm tryna see what y'all thinking tbh.
Unnecessary feature and placement. Kodak added nothing that baby Keem couldnāt have done.

Baby Keem isnāt the hood mentality of Kendrick. Kodak speaking from Kendricks dark side. Keem speaking from Kendricks good side.

It comes from a place of mental health problems for sure
Yeah honestly this is my favorite album of his itās really resonating with me so much harder than anything else heās done and Iāve been a fan since 2012, saw him open the Yeezus tour
This is the best Kendrick album IMO. Coming from a guy that was at his first headlining concert in a club of a couple hundred people.
This is Kendricks magnum opus and this is coming from a fan that saw him perfom his self titled EP to like 20 people

Easily his most vulgar and darkest album. Was a shock on first listen ngl
Whatās been the KTT2 user reaction on here?
Imo itās one of my fav Kendrick albums and I consider all of his album outstanding especially TPAB and GKMC even DAMN
its one of the best albums of all time
Easily his most vulgar and darkest album. Was a shock on first listen ngl
I still think damn is his darkest album tbh
Feel lust and pride are probably his darkest songs ever including u
Random, but anyone else feel like Dre kinda ethered Kendrick on the recipe
Yāall always says this with ppl that are reciting Kendrick verses š
So Pitchfork gives DAMN a 9.1, but a clearly superior album a 7.6? That outlet is down bad.
y'all talk about "Pitchfork" like it's one man. like it's Big Ghost or something.
all this means is the people who worked at Pitchfork and voted on DAMN. in 2017 gave it higher scores on average than the people who work at Pitchfork in 2022 voting on Mr. Morale. nothing more nothing less
Baby Keem isnāt the hood mentality of Kendrick. Kodak speaking from Kendricks dark side. Keem speaking from Kendricks good side.
Interesting takes. Keep talking

Been around since S80 era myself, & I def agree with you mayne
Easily his most vulgar and darkest album. Was a shock on first listen ngl
Still hard to hear this album.
It has such a unique vibe that I will treat it like I did with Cudi's "Speedin Bullets 2 Heaven":
Only in specific moments I'm gonna revisit this one.
Once again... It's definitely a good album.
But I'm not in this vibe right now.
