I feel pretty good saying this is better then damn

i love DAMN, but there are some lows on that album that Mr. Morale doesn't

Not sure where you think I implied Pitchfork is one person. I stated that as an outlet (a media outlet made up of "critics") they were off-base with this review/score, especially when compared to how they rated his previous album.

What are the lows on Damn?

Almost like they don’t understand the point of therapy.

Humble and God have grown off of me on repeated listens. i still enjoy those tracks for what they are, but they don't measure up to the rest of the album for me personally

those are some high ass lows

People just use psychological terms to excuse their lack of empathy and willingness to understand others

that's the thing lmao they are very high lows because i still think they're good, if you get what i'm saying lol

Yeah, this is def his best body of work (imo)

But down the line, when I'm in a Kendrick mood, I'll still always turn to "SXN80", "GKMC", or "DAMN."

"TPAB" & "MM&TBS" I gotta be in a mood for.

It’s not a clearly superior album. Myself and a few other people ITT think Damn. is better, but Morale is still a great body of work

whoever reviewed the album had high expectations that it'd be TPAB 2 or something

at this moment I would say there are probably 4 or 5 tracks on MMBS which are not as good as the "worst" song on Damn

I get it though. Kendrick’s politics on this album doesn’t necessarily align with theirs and that’s fine but say THAT. So many valid criticisms to make of this album.

But No group of a majority white ppl get to tell a black person to let up on the trauma some.

I don’t even know how they don’t see the irony in that.

I can’t agree with this. Comparing this to DAMN., which I consider a classic, might be laughable to me right now. And that album is great. This album does everything better. Every single thing.

We’ve seen that token black person before. That actually makes it worst because black ppl also don’t get to tell black ppl to ease up on the trauma.

Mention the obvious flaws or hiccups. Kodak, aunty diaries, lol
