Is it just me, or is he barely rapping on some of these songs. I think on one track he blatantly says that he's not rapping. It's more like spoken word, which is cool, I like it for sure, but he's definitely doesn't seem to be rapping like that.

Like occasionally he'd be flowing his ass off, and I'm just not catching a rhyme scheme, sometimes there aren't any rhymes whatsoever...

For me this is more prominent in the second disc.

But starting with the cover, it’s a picture of a black family.

On saviour he starts off by listing black figures, Cole, future, himself and I think Lebron? And how they aren’t your saviour, in the same song he goes on to question kyrie because of covid. Another indication as to why black people hold these individuals to such high regard?

Aunty stories again looking at the discrimination towards lgbtq community, and forcing the black community to look itself in the mirror especially the religious and ask why they throw around a word yet they understand how much pain a single word can cause a whole community.

Mr moral he mentions r Kelly (this is the second time in the album, first being we cry together) remember when he was mentioned on we cry together it was because kendrick aka black men don’t even acknowledge the idea r Kelly is how he is, so on mr moral he has now actually accepted it and is now actually wanting to get to the source as to why he is like that.

Of course mother I sober is quite self explanatory. He says the whole black community has essentially been rapped and they have carried on such traumatic cycles for generations and it is time to break the curse.

Ending with his kid (the next generation) saying thank you for breaking those generational curses.

TWO other big factors I noticed.

1. Every real life reference to a person kendrick names on the album (Oprah, r Kelly, drake, Kanye etc) is black, meaning he is only observing black people/society. I maybe mistaken but I don’t think he name drops a single white person.

2. Every time he addresses something white it is always venomous, he says crackers a few times and addresses the girl in world wide steppers as a white b****. Generally showing distain for them and them being secondary in his story.

This not so tightly knitted yet but I reckon that theory has legs.

I noticed his disjointed lyrics as well, I was reading along with Genius

there's definitely rhymes there but the way he ends a lot of the bars kind of give off the illusion that he's just talking. it's really dope to me.
