Where did I come from? I don't think like I used to
No, I don't blink like I used to
Awkward stares at everybody, see the flesh of man
But still, this man compared to nobody
I’m bout to just start staring at mfs
Won’t lie I go back to all these tracks except
Worldwide Steppers (I understand the significance of the song but I wish he picked a better beat cuz his flow takes me out of it)
Rich Interlude
And Crown (I tried but I Really can’t get into this song)

Tryna go 2 nights, in ATL then make the drive to Nashville

Crown a classic
Not crazy about this album but gonna give it a spin in dolby atmos to see how it sounds
How did we ever compare this nigga to Drake or J. Cole
this isn't directly related but lowkey always wondered what artists like J Cole think when they listen to albums like these from kendrick (or others) and see the widespread reception to them.
Artists like Drake obv don't really care since they care way more about pop appeal & sales (not an insult - there's a time/place for his music too), but I dunno, J Cole at least says he's more invested in the art of this stuff. It's weird because Hip Hop at least poses as this hyper-competitive landscape but it feels like when stuff like this drops it hardly seems to light a fire under anyone
So what’s the deal with this presale
I was just going to put this on my credit card but I can’t with this cash app s***?

Must order the tickets using their cash card. and your cash app balance must have enough to cover the tickets

do we know how much tickets are going to be? And fees?
Why the f*** they partner with cash app man the hell

Just sign up with Live Nation's email newsletter and they'll send you a presale code, no need for the convoluted Cash App thing. Ticket prices range from $60 to $179

When you think they’ll email the presale code? I’m already signed up with em
And will the same code work with any show? I got 3 in close proximity to myself

Honestly i think it will be easier to get the tickets with cashapp which is why imma use that. Everyone has a pre sale code via live nation but not everyone can be assed to use cashapp

Eh, it's not really going to matter though truthfully, they'll both be allocated the same number of tickets through Ticketmaster and both be going on at the same time tomorrow. Whether it's through LN, Cash App, or a specific venue/promoter presale, just the same operation running through a different label

Cash apps being advertised harder tho
I guess I could try both ways

Think you could argue KOD was his "artsy" attempt.
The ones that get inspired to create better music aren't in the mainstream. To be in the mainstream would mean your own way got you there. Why would Cole wanna change a formula that aint broken?
Also, streaming/the industry's killed the creatives. A career arc like Kendrick is 100% never happening again until the industry stops being so prehistoric. The fact the radio has a major say in what tops the charts is both impressive and depressing af.
