Yeah fr I feel really grateful to have a great relationship with my dad. That song actually made me think about my grandpa who had a terrible relationship w his dad and it made him overcompensate and be a great dad to my dad, and led to me having a great dad. My grandpa really chose to break that cycle and probably made life better for my grandkids who will never even have a concept of who he is.

People who clowned Charlamagne for talking about generational curses with this album don’t see how one person can change a family forever, especially a minority family. You can break a generational curse in your family by being a loving great man, its not always monetary

I get that comes off as Kendrick slurping but really all of these rappers are breaking generational curses, you get to see it first hand with Kendrick and Keem though and you can tell Kendrick takes more pride in that than he does most things
