Idc whether ya like it or not. For Kendrick standards this era is a L just like TPAB was if you were around for that.

And that’s cool. No artist is immune. None.

    Ok, now what lol

I actually care nothing about sales but I do care about impact.

TPAB had no impact when it dropped and still doesn’t. Only ever heard 1 song from the album played under any circumstance. It’s a niche album that got inflated online but I’ve yet to ever hear it played anywhere in under circumstance ever. It was a L when it dropped and still is. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad album. It was just iite.

If I had no identity I would be pretending to like TPAB and lying about that era for Kendrick. Instead I keep it a buck just like I do for all these rappers in they supposed primes lmao

Why they feel the need to come in here and try to argue with people who like the music ^^

Y’all talk about ā€œinternet criticā€albums that don’t get played irl. If someone posts about it they’re playing it irl, this isn’t the metaverse

Album is far from an L. We get it, you don't like the album subjectively. Thats fine. Its obnoxious though when you get loud about it.

Yeah aight bro you only talking bout some vague term like 'impact'. You're judging music based on if it's played 'outside' aka in clubs. A lot of music not for you then if that's how you measure music

But that's fine. Go listen to that and let others enjoy what they like. You made your point

  • May 30, 2022

Bruh we still talking about this s*** a day later?

King Kunta was played at my prom at the end of August, almost half a year after the album dropped. Shut the f*** up about this "no impact", "outside" s*** yall keep talking about. It's a huge f***ing planet and 8 billion people just like you are on it. Your personal experiences and opinions mean absolutely nothing

I was benching during my first listen, those drums had me doing reps I didn't know I had left in me Then Worldwide Steppers and Die Hard were bangers too

But then it eventually got to We Cry Together and I just ended my gym session early

Lol I love Kendrick. Ya not gonna be honest bout this album tho? He’s immune from a dud?

U reaching bro. I’m someone who has this album 4th behind his previous 3 main albums, so I’m not saying it’s the best ever or anything but it’s still so good. It’s not binary, it’s not classic or dud. This album is like 8.5/10 to me and easily an AOTY contender.
