āZero promotionā would bereleasing the album and nothing else
This would be like saying DONDA had no promotion
It was promoted a tiny bit and the era still did alright. It's not his biggest by any stretch but it's not some huge flop that he needs to come back from. There's not going to be a Todd in the Shadows Trainwreckords episode made about Mr. Morale.
Now that the dust has settled, it's pretty clear that the album is well-liked and that it's building a legacy of being the "confessional," "vulnerable" Kendrick album that talks about subjects most mainstream rap albums never touch. People still want to see his concert and are looking forward to what he puts out next.
If he makes another album, and I assume he will, expectations will be very different than they were coming off DAMN and Black Panther and that's probably a good thing.

Glastonbury was last week.
Documentary of the trailer was two weeks ago.
Playlisting happens for every artist with a reasonable fan base
The tour hasnāt started yet.
Everything you mentioned except the heart happened weeks after the things I said he accomplished.

I was specifically referencing the accomplishments I listed.
He did all of that with no promotion.
