Purple Hearts feels so heavenly coming on right after We Cry Together
In a career full of verses you can argue are among his best, his first verse on Count Me Out might objectively be in his top 5 from a pure writing standpoint. His delivery, the vibe, his tone, all of it.
I donāt think anyone else could have said so much while saying so little or gotten those emotions across like Dot can. S*** reads like flat out poetry on paper.
The album may not be flashy from technical perspective but the writing on this album is actually Pulitizer worthy (only a little shade to DAMN.)
Where all these leaks on YT coming from. Seem like every time I open my app thereās a new Mr Morale leak

Opening verse of Count Me Out probably my favorite moment in the album
I was kinda shocked no one was really talking about it when it first dropped
Second verse of Die Hard also hits home man. So deep - I feel it doesn't get its due recognition because of the playful beat.

I was whatever about it at first but seeing everyone itt steady talking about it and Earl tweeting about it over and over made me give it another look.
Played it during a session at the gym, hit a new PR and never looked back

I got some regrets
But my past wonāt keep me from my best
Subtle mistakes felt like life or death
But fr that line about mistakes hits so hard, fantastic track that I initially thought was radio bait on first listen

Its just an edit of a snippet that leaked
Thereās plenty on the page
Yeah some songs leaked months ago but that one you posted is an edit of a snippet
This was one of the greatest concerts Iāve ever been to and Iāve seen a LOT of shows. Everything from the production to Kendrickās stage presence and breath control was insane. Tanna Leone surprised me and Keem absolutely killed it too

Kush and Corinthians 2nd verse has been hitting hard for me lately, I'd put it up there too. Basically the concept of DAMN summarized in one verse

Most memorable moment on the album for me is that first verse in count me out
Keep going back and forth between this and JIDās album for my AOTY.
JID album is good, but itās all over the place at times. He still needs some progression.

āI get emotional about lifeā such a simple line but always hits me
