Now he's independent who knows how it will be since you still need some level-headed smart people around. Next album I’m pretty sure if it’s not a collab album with Keem, Is gonna be much more loose and less conceptual then MM&TBS. The fact that he’s so deep into the recording process for the next one tells me that they just decided this time to start making songs without really thinking about a pretext with those songs.

Kendrick is always in the studio bro. Soon as they finish one album they immediately move to the next one

Well I know he’s always working in the studio but I know he didn’t start working on MM&TBS until February 2019 which was almost 2 years after the release of DAMN.

The final version yeah but some of the songs are pretty old. Dahi said count me out is from 2018 and kept getting reworked until the final version. He had an album ready to go in spring of 2020 and a lot of the early versions of MM&TBS songs were supposed to be on it + Prayer
