gorgeous ye verses carry the song tho
@SwilloLoubeaux f*** up!
I can actually see why you think that
Disagree though love the hell of a life drums and arp and the breakdown
the arp is fire
It wasnāt strictly Dilla, although he played a key role in it. It was the weirdo energy going on at Electric Lady studios. They made LWFC, Voodoo and Mamas Gun all in one big block of sessions and you can just feel the lighting captured. Iād choose to be a fly on the wall for those sessions Forsure.
Also the roots were heavily involved in those sessions
gorgeous get annoying to hear after a while to the point where I just skip that s*** now
Hell of a life beat trash
It may not be for you butā¦.trash?
Stop the cap
I guess Gorgeous isnt my favorite beat ever but Kanye was on some Nas s*** on that song
God tier rap performance
@SwilloLoubeaux f*** up!
I honestly love The beat on gorgeous, one of my favorite Ye songs ever. So I canāt ever agree with your take on the beat sadly
Rejuvenated his entire career with that one even though he had 2 classics before it
I wouldnāt say it rejuvenated his career, it evolved it. Resurrection and ODIAMS were great albums with No I.D and then logically he moved to different production with Dilla and Questlove.
I would say Be was the one that rejuvenated his career. Electric Circus is a great album, but was misunderstood at the time and people did not f*** with it.
Listening to Kendrick Lamar EP and damn. Crazy how he has ALWAYS been rapping at such a high level. Truly the GOAT

Always been rapping at a high level but people act like he's not cause he's trying to create timeless s*** instead of giving fans some dusty recycled mixtape bars on his albums
TPAB has sharp live instrumentation, subject matter and lyricism going for it
MBDTF has the better melodies, beats and flows throughout. Might just be about what you value more
^^I was replying to this post for the record saying mbdtf had the better beats
cause I just do not agree
and TPAB way longer of a album too so its even more impressive to have no wack beats

Its crazy so many people on here will say Kendrick isnāt a top tier lyricist

Oh yea I agree with this maybe not rejuvenated but it did feel like he reinvented himself as an artist with LWFC itās sounds drastically different from the albums before it
Its crazy so many people on here will say Kendrick isnāt a top tier lyricist
Itās usually one group of people who say that but Iām not gonna start s***.

Literally top 5 Ye verse

Who drake stans?
Because Lupe fans here give Kendrick hell
Literally top 5 Ye verse
Its crazy so many people on here will say Kendrick isnāt a top tier lyricist
There canāt be people that exist and have ears that say this
Literally top 5 Ye verse
Yeah I actually agree
I think that might be his best song lyrically
His So Appalled verse is incredible too

Lupe fans
Lupe an all time great but his fans are not formidable.
im in tears dawggg
There canāt be people that exist and have ears that say this
Iāve seen so many people be like āhes not that good of a lyricistā or āhe has no bars that stick with youā
Its crazy so many people on here will say Kendrick isnāt a top tier lyricist

Lupe fans
Lupe an all time great but his fans are not formidable.
Yeah agree
Iād even say I can see why they say Lupe is a better lyricist but when youāre that good how big can the gap be
And on here they have no argument other than posting Mural
Yeah I actually agree
I think that might be his best song lyrically
His So Appalled verse is incredible too
He was in his bag on so appalled I think everyone delivered on that song LR is the album that has the most consistently good verses imo

This convo has been done before for the record.
