If they dropped DAMN it would still be one of the most acclaimed albums ever.
The thing is, they're just not talented enough to make damn.
That my friend is utter delusion. It would be called unfocused and called out for the commercial reaches āhello fellow kidsā vibe if Cole did it. People gave DAMN the benefit of the doubt for being messy because it was coming off of two of the most cohesive concept albums ever
tbh...DAMN has no musical flaw...on the other hand you can't name a single flawless cole/drake album lol
GOD is one huge musical flaw

it's perfect though, musically...you may not like it, but you can't criticize it...

Lmfao what the f*** are you talknig about.
I swear some people here are lost and don't know s*** about music. "unfocused" ? really? wtf...

Yes I can, Kendrickās voice doesnāt work for that track and it comes off derivative of Drakeās āFake Loveā but just not executed as well

Itās lyrically focused but deliberately not focused musically
DAMN is oozing with BLACK musical excellence.
I mean, it might've been a dope album if it was straight Hip-Hop but once Kendrick and his team dipped into the ideas black rock (LA soul) musicians have helped to pioneer over the past 100 years....shit was over at that point
damn. really is a masterpiece

It absolutely is...unless you don't know what black rock is (black rock isn't rock, it's the typical 70s soul from LA)

The album mostly jumps between 2 sounds, the sound youāre talking about and basic modern trap

it does work LOL...it features the best triadic (3-note) chords we've ever heard on a rap song. The rhythmic transictions respect the 5 criteria that make a transition flawless, and the 175hz frequencies used by Kendrick is on point.
Again, pass me some of that green you're smoking

Nope his vocal performance is strained and the use of pitch correction lacks subtlety
Once again, not all opinions hold the same weight...we appreciate you talking about stuff you're personally and subejctively enjoying, but thats not the point.... we're talking straight quality here.
Drake never made an album that is even half as good as DAMN. that's not even an opinion...that's a fact. Nobody cares about the stuff you "personally" enjoy the most.

absolutely not lol...

What
I mean the simple fact that he even tried to compare a drake album to DAMN was enough to consider him as a random...probably a 14 yo fan
Kdot weakest project is probably gkmc and it s***s on drake's discography. I'm a drake fan btw.
gkmc: 91/100
damn: 95/100
tpab: 96/100
I would be very surprised if kendrick's next album isn't at least 94 on mc...I mean he showed us he knows how to make objectively great music, critic proof music, and he got 5 years to craft this 5th classic (like most rappers would say, he gave us 4 in a row)
drake fans gonna feel insecure again lol, because they can claim whathever you want, great music is always universally acclaimed, and bad msuic never gets acclaimed. It is what it is.
Yo if future's hitting 200k? without even a single out I think there's no way Kenny doing less than 500k lol
Yo if future's hitting 200k? without even a single out I think there's no way Kenny doing less than 500k lol
Easier to get to 200k or 300k from than it is to get from that number to 400 or 500k
Like a lot of goat artists have said, you take kendrick worst album (which is literally still universally acclaimed), and it will be MUCH better than Drake's best project from a pure objective angle...and I insist on the "much" better.
This is true and I'm a drake fan. Imo gkmc is kendrick weakest album and indeed its far better than anything his peers have ever released.
Here is something interesting. This might be the aesthetic for the new album. This off white/cream color pallet.
Anyone remembers who first posted this flyer?

PgLang hasn't posted it, neither did Dave or Kendrick. They all posted the pgLang memo. so I'm assuming TDE sent that image out to ppl that are posting it.
The image also matches the color of the new converse

You may be onto something with the color palette. That graphic was originally posted by Punch, iirc. It was definitely shared on TDEās side.
The cynic in me says they created this graphic so that they werenāt sharing the Oklama announcement which had pgLang insignia all over it.
