No that happens with kanye albums, never was the case for Kendrick. gkmc and TPAB were considered classics way before the next albums came out. DAMN just wasnât on that level, maybe some people who are nostalgic for 2017 will say stuff like that but theyâll be wrong

The big questions we must ask, does kendrick have an album better than doggystyle... illmatic... all eyes on me... 2001... the chronic... all that, I feel like gkmc is up there but we need another classic for it to be widely accepted as such

TPAB was polarizing to non Kendrick fans but those people still feel that way like the whole âthis donât bump in the whipâ mentality. That never changed, you still see that on ktt but people who donât look at music like that always hailed it as what it was. The critical praise is one way to show that even though thatâs not all there is to it
