this was ok, probably the weakest NYFF movie i’ve seen this year

not too familiar with Pedro’s filmography but I really liked this, Tilda and Julianne play off each other well

easily a top 3 Hong Sang Soo film for me just on first watch, all the usual tropes in his movies click perfectly here. Kim Min-Hee

What did you think of king of new york? I kinda love it and there's lots of iconic stuff about it but it's just missing a certain thing that holds it back from being a new jack city level classic

Loved it although I have to agree on the New Jack City thing. But I think Nino Brown was just flashier and more interesting to follow, NJC also had a BUNCH of classic lines that put it over the top.
