What specifically didn’t you like about him?
Personally didn’t have a strong opinion either way.
Agree tho there’s a lot of better characters. Tbh a lot of the good guys lame
I see it as him having basically nothing to offer as a character
When he's on cases it also feels like he's on a high horse
And bro just the way this dude act is so 2000s idk something off
I just don't like his presence like that, I can't place it
The Wire watchers help me out with something I wanna see your opinion on this
Is it or was it an unpopular opinion to dislike McNulty as a character, half the time this whole show I'm annoyed by this dude
I can't even place it, he's just annoying, the "side characters" if you can call em that, everyone is exponentially better to me
Season 4 had minimum McNulty bruh that was my favorite season off that alone
Edit: On a positive note, goes to show how great the show is, I got nothing substantial to complain about
he left me a fine impression tbh, often used as a comedy relief when drinking, whoring or stoling the notebook just to give it to his sons :clapdead:
the scene where he scraps out the date was amazing
not sure where you are on s5 but mcnulty is a lot criticized for his actions during the last half of the show, s*** was entertaining as hell and I'll go to take a beer with him tbh
as detective tho, watched the show in 2019-2020 and I remember his way of doing his job was debatable

Thanks for going into it
I'm watching it right now first time, I'm on episode 7 so close to the ending
I don't really mind his arc in this season if anything it's more interesting. I just meant overall as a character in 5 seasons he don't really add nothing to me.
A lot of other characters develop to something else after season 1 and I like the growth
Just finished The Wire
I talked s*** about McNulty character but I ended up liking his season 5 arc at the end
I like that there's a lot of chess a\*\*\*ogies since season 1 park scene and the show stays on that, kings, pawns... How everyone acts within or outside their role
Perfect example is Slim Charles, what a suave character bruh, but what I want to sat is he stayed his ground and played his role, listened to whatever he gotta do and he ended up being the "king" at the end from a "pawn" so to speak
I rarely like show endings, but this show probably had its ending planned halfway already. Great watch & slick writing
this the new euphoria 7/10
naw i’m jk don’t watch this unless you are already watching this then def watch this

Sandman was 9/10 until the final few episodes brought it down some

The diner episode was crazt hard but why. Gotta be a big plot in the comics cause it was no reason for them to spend that much time. Lucifer tho
