Timed exclusives shifted the console base last generation . They aren’t equal . They both have the SAME GOAL. Establish an install base on your console . Sony was trying to get Starfield exclusive as well it’s known . It’s a smart strategy. People are openly buying a ps5 for final fantasy lol .

Insomniac carrying and was purchased . Bungie timed exclusives destiny 1 and 2 . It’s just smart . I don’t care about call of duty games I think they’ve gone down hill and Microsoft would likely keep warzone free to play all consoles lol

Both companies goal is capitalism which is largest install base and bring that base to future consoles . To act shocked that out loud or in an email either one of them would say they want to beat the competition in anyway is slow . It’s not shocking breaking news .

If Xbox games are both playable on PC and Xbox including gamepass, back catalog and future Call of Duty titles. Isn't that more accessible than Playstation whose exclusives, timed exclusives and much content is locked to their consoles, Sometimes further than PS1-3 isn't backwards compatible at all and changes to the store?

Come on dude you know the difference is that Sony developed those first party developers and invested in their own platform to make it attractive to customers. Microsoft is outright acquiring legacy companies that have created multi-platform games for decades and have their own brand following, then are proceeding to lock them behind Microsoft hardware.
