Activision as a business did not need to sell itself. They got cancel cultured over having some weirdo loser employees and that outrage hurt their stock price for a bit but they literally make dollars hand over fist every year. There is no reason they needed to sell themselves to Microsoft as a “bailout.” But leadership wanting to cash out and peace out to MS is a consequence of capitalism and greed running its course.

In fact I literally made thousands on long calls after buying Activision stock when it dropped cuz of that outrage LMAO

it was more than a couple weirdo loser employees. It was a company culture to a disturbing level. I have people who I know who directly dealt with it too. Like activision blizzard been like that and needs major change is what I am saying.

Microsoft buying them out isn't an end all be all solution in anyway. In short I hope the conditions there improve.

Again a xbox exclusive that comes to pc is drastically different than a PS exclusive that never comes to PC at all or comes multiple years later. It just is. If this was "this isn't coming to pc or other consoles" that is a much different situation.

For the millionth time free to play warzone would likely come to every console imaginable for microtransactions. Yearly releases would too for some time for the microtransactions. That is easy money .

I don't care about call of duty like that but yes casuals do.

Also you say that COD will continue to be multiplatform for micro transactions, which on the surface makes sense, but its also possible Microsoft did the math and could decide to instead damage Sony by making COD Xbox/pc exclusive and eat the cost of lost micro transaction revenue as an investment in moving player base over to their systems. I personally don’t care either cuz COD been trash, but that is a very real risk for Sony and bad for customers.

I am saying Warzone is free to play either way. Yearly releases in 10 years going exclusive to Xbox and PC shouldn't be end of the world. Especially because they would need the player base to keep it populated so including playstation and taking a cut reasonable. It could really shake out many ways.

COD has definitely been trash but in many ways I think its possible if they get bought they no longer have to be a COD company. Also they have so many studios that could work on IP other than Call of Duty that are dope or use technology present there

I am just interested to see how it goes.

This wont alone solve Microsoft, Activision or Sony problems no matter which way it goes
