Drake makes R/B while Kanye made something completely different, Kanye made his own pop lane/genre while Drake is a rapper making R&B

All this says is that he went in a different direction. Doesn’t mean that he wasn’t inspired by 808s. He even said it in the rap radar interview this year.

I can even pull up a 40 quote saying that 808s inspired him but he ultimately took it in their own direction.
